Nashville’s first raw vegan restaurant AVO

Friday, my husband and I had the opportunity to eat at AVO (like avocado), an all raw, all vegan restaurant in Nashville. We had heard that it was coming, and couldn’t wait to go!

Inside the restaurant were upright herb gardens and behind the bar was lots of greenery. We started out with a half vegan caesar salad. It had raw ‘cheese’ crisps and it was AH-MAZING!!! I will for sure get the full size when we go back!

We also split a raw pad thai and a raw basil pesto noodle bowl. I loved the kick that the pad thai dressing had. The basil pesto was good too, however, I would have added a bit more Himalayan pink salt. We really wanted the pizza, but they ran out when we got there. That’s ok, we’ll get it next time.

For dessert we chose the ‘toasted’ marshmallow ice cream with chocolate drizzle and the raw snickers. OH MY WORD! So good! The ice cream tasted just like a toasted campfire marshmallow and the snickers was simply divine! If you really like things sweet, you will love the snickers. I only had two pieces and let my husband have the rest (it was too sweet for me).

We loved AVO, and will definitely be going back!
